PUPR Minister Basuki Tegaskan Tol Sigli-Banda Aceh Rampung Di 2023

Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono emphasized that the construction of the Sigli-Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) toll road or the first phase for the Aceh region will be completed until it reaches Pidie Regency until the end of 2023. "Then we will finish the first phase of Sigli-Banda Aceh, next year it will be finished," said Basuki Hadimuljono during a visit in Pidie, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 20. This statement was made by Basuki Hadimuljono when answering questions from the media crew regarding the clarity of the construction of the next stage of the toll road from Sigli to Lhokseumawe to Langsa. Basuki conveyed that the construction of the toll road from Sigli Lhokseumawe and Langsa had not yet been carried out. This is because his party prioritizes the completion of the first phase (Sibanceh). "Not yet (from Sigli to Lhokseumawe), we will finish this one first (Sibanceh)," he said. For this first stage, his party completed the backbone toll road first starting from Bakauheni, Jambi to Banda Aceh. As for continued toll roads such as Bengkulu and Padang, construction was temporarily suspended. "We prioritize the money first for the backbone, that's why from Bakauheni, Jambi, now I'm looking for a budget for Jambi, Rengat," he said. Based on information from PT Hutama Karya, there are 13 segments that are included in the first phase of construction, including from Binjai-Pangkalan Brandan, Sigli-Banda Aceh, Binjai-Langsa and others to Betung. Basuki emphasized that the construction of the first phase according to the President's direction will be completed in 2023 or no later than the first semester of 2024. "Development will not stop, development will continue," he said. So far, the Sibanceh toll road segment that has just operated has only reached section 2 of Seulimeum-Jantho with a length of 6.35 kilometers. So with this addition, the length of the Sibanceh toll road can be utilized reaches 30 kilometers. PT Hutama Karya as the developer and manager of JTTS is committed to continuing to accelerate the completion of development so that it can be fully connected with a total of 74.2 kilometers later.
