Scoot Open Singapore - Lombok Flight Route

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Lombok International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara, stated that Scoot, a low-cost airline part of the Singapore Airlines Group, officially began to open direct international flights on the Singapore-Lombok route and vice versa.

"Today (Sunday) Scoot started landing at Lombok Airport," said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok Airport Rahmat Adil Indrawan in a written statement received in Praya, NTB, Sunday.

This inaugural flight was marked by the landing of Scoot flight number TR-258 from Singapore at Lombok Airport at 10.26 WITA. The Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 economy class seats carried as many as 159 passengers and 6 crew members.

The passengers of the inaugural Scoot Singapore-Lombok flight were greeted with a drum of Beleq at the international arrival gate area of Lombok Airport. "Lombok has a very beautiful nature," he said as reported by Antara.

In addition, Lombok and NTB are also enriched with annual routine events such as MotoGP, WSBK, MXGP, and others. With this additional international route, it is hoped that Lombok tourism with its export tourism can be more global.

"We thank Scoot for opening this route," he said.

Furthermore, Scoot crew led by Captain Ng Kah Hwee received Sasak's signature woven fabric from the Regional Secretary of NTB Province HL Gita Ariadi and Adil Indrawan.

"With the opening of a direct route from Singapore to Lombok, it means that massive promotions are needed to work on the Singapore market so that they want to come to Lombok. Hopefully this inaugural flight will be successful and will be followed by the next flights," said Gita.

The Singapore-Lombok-Singapore route Scoot will operate twice a week every Sunday and Wednesday. Scoot flight number TR-258 is scheduled to depart from Singapore at 07.50 local time and arrive in Lombok at 10.20 WITA. As for the reverse route, the plane will depart from Lombok at 11.20 WITA and arrive in Singapore at 14.05 local time.
