Subholding Gas Pertamina Salurkan Gas Bumi To WK Rokan, Keeps The Achievement Of Production Targets

JAKARTA - Pertamina Gas Subholding is the first time distributing natural gas to Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) as the operator of the Rokan Working Area. The distribution of this gas will last during the Turn Around period for the Jambi PHE Gas Reservoir Merang with a total volume of 890 BBTU on 11-20 October 2022. The distribution of gas with Domestic LNG sources through the optimization of the Lampung FSRU will help PHR's Oil Lifting process, during the PHE JM gas supplier period unable to supply gas during periodic maintenance or Turn Around (TAR). "The distribution of natural gas to the Rokan WK is a synergy between Subholding Gas and Upstream Subholding in Pertamina Group and also Synergy with PLN within the scope of SOEs to maintain the resilience of domestic energy production after the transfer of management of the Rokan WK. The success in maintaining production performance has made the Rokan Block able to contribute 24 percent of national oil production," said PGN's Director of Strategy and Business Development, Heru Setiawan, in a written statement, Friday, October 14. Heru continued that in addition to fulfilling Pertamina's domestic refinery consumption, PGN support in order to maintain production capabilities in the Rokan WK is expected to help meet the government's target of 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD by 2030. The distribution of gas to PHR certainly cannot be separated from the support from relevant stakeholders who have supported SKK Migas, PHR, Pertamina, PLN, Medco Energy (MEPG), Indonesian Gas Transportation (TGI) and other parties. Subholding Gas as a national gas aggregator is ready to support energy security, one of which is for lifting petroleum through reliable gas distribution. The synergy between PGN and PHR is also part of the positive impact of the transformation of Holding Migas which creates integrated infrastructure and accelerates volume growth to realize national energy independence.
