JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) together with Bank Indonesia, the Riau provincial government held the Financial Inclusion Month (BIK) entitled Riau Expo 2022.

Chairman of the OJK Audit Council Sophia Wattimena said collaboration between authorities, local governments and business actors will encourage the successful implementation of the 2022 Riau Expo BIK so as to accelerate the increase in inclusion and financial literacy of the community.

"Through this event, we want to encourage the financial services industry in Riau Province to massively carry out financial literacy and inclusion activities by providing cheap, easy and affordable service and financial products offerings for the community," he said in a written statement quoted on Sunday, October 9.

On the same occasion, Riau Governor Syamsuar in his remarks delivered by Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Province M. Job Kurniawan expressed his appreciation to OJK and all other stakeholders for this initiative.

"The series of Riau Expo 2022 BIK activities which take place from 8-9 October 9, 2022 consists of financial expo filled by 42 IJK booths, MSME exhibitions in the culinary field, financial literacy talkshows, dialogues, barista competitions, to singing contests," he said.
