Make Sure The Products According To Specifications, Pertamina Fuel 7 Quality Control Process

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting explained, his party has at least 7 (seven) Quality Control processes as a step to ensure that all products meet specifications and meet predetermined standards.

He stated that the Quality Control process began when fuel products entered the storage tank at the Fuel Terminal (TBBM) until just before being distributed to gas stations.

The Quality Control process of a fuel product before it can be declared feasible to be distributed to this gas station starts when the product is supplied from a refinery or imported, during storage, until before it is distributed to gas stations. In each process, the fuel product must be declared delicious, meet the requirements or specifications set by the Director General of Oil and Gas, if the sample test is not feasible, it will not be able to get out of the fuel terminal," explained Irto in a statement to the media, Friday, September 30.

He continued, before fuel products can enter the storage tank at the Fuel Terminal, Pertamina first ensures that fuel products supplied from refineries or imports have a certificate of quality.

After it is confirmed that the certification of quality, the fuel products supplied through the pipe will be tested for specifications during pumping to the storage tank.

The supply process through the ship is also being tested. Before pumping to the storage tank, the fuel products in the ship will first be tested for feasibility, if it is in accordance with specifications, the test is also carried out during the pumping of fuel products from ships to storage tanks.

This is an early stage. So before a fuel product can actually enter the storage tank, there are already several Quality Control processes to ensure the products supplied to the Fuel Terminal are in accordance with specifications and standards for sale to the public," continued Irto.

When storage in the storage tank, the Quality Control process is also carried out periodically.

Fuel products are regularly tested right after the pumping process from either refinery or import pipes, until before being distributed to tank cars.

Before the tank car can get out of the Fuel Terminal of fuel and to the destination gas station, the fuel product will be tested again at the exit.

"So it can be seen, the Quality Control process is not arbitrary, periodics are carried out and the stages are clear. This is Pertamina Patra Niaga's commitment in ensuring that all fuel products that will be consumed by the community are in accordance with specifications, according to quality standards, and are suitable for use," explained Irto.

In addition to the quality test at the Fuel Terminal, Pertamina Patra Niaga also checked before the process of unloading fuel from tank cars until after all fuel products had been distributed to gas station pendam tanks.

At this gas station there is also a check, if something is deemed not to be according to specifications, the fuel product will be tested again at the Fuel Terminal, it will not be sold, so people don't have to worry. Pertamina is committed that all fuel products sold in the official distribution agency are in accordance with the established standards," concluded Irto.
