"This subsidized cheap field is given to 1.1 million recipients who are distributed through 312 locations throughout Jakarta," said Anies at Cipinang Kebembem Market, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.
Of the 312 locations, 159 of them were distributed by Perumda Pasar Jaya in the Capital City markets. Then, 108 points were in the RPTRA of flats, 30 locations in the Thousand Islands, the rest were distributed by Perumda Dharma Jaya and the Cipinang Rice Main Market.
The cheap food packages consist of rice, meat, cows, eggs, chickens, fish and milk. Anies added that subsidized cheap food distribution activities have proven to be very helpful for Jakarta residents in dealing with food price turmoil, where so far there have been 1.1 million beneficiaries who have benefited from this program.
"People buy an amount of around Rp. 402 thousand, but what they pay through this program is Rp. 126 thousand. As an illustration in this program, premium rice is sold for Rp. 30,000 (5 kg/pack), beef is Rp. 35,000 (1 kg/pack), chicken meat is Rp. 8,000 (1/pack), fish bloating for Rp. 13,000 (1 kg/6-9) and UHT Susu for Rp. 30,000 (1 carton/24 pcs). So the beneficiary community gets a subsidy of Rp. 276 thousand or 69 percent, almost 70 percent is financed by subsidies," said Anies.
Head of the DKI Food, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Security Agency (KPKP), Suharini Eliawati, said that the subsidized cheap food program will take place from January to December 2022.
"The targets are children with Jakarta Smart Card holders, Jakarta elderly cards, disabilities, residents of flats, honorary teachers, then PJLP with UMP Rp1.1 million," said Suharini.
There are around 22,000 honorary teachers who are targeted for the subsidized cheap food program. Then, there are also 14 thousand PPK cadres and 14,000 people with disabilities.

"This outlet on PIBC has been opened since last year to complete the distribution channel for cheap food programs, besides that it is also to provide convenience for local residents who want to take cheap food packages," explained Pamrihadi.
