SOE Minister: The Government Has No Plan To Remove Power 450 VA

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir emphasized that the government has no plans to abolish 450 VA electricity customers and replace them to 900 VA. This includes not removing energy subsidies for 450 VA customers. "As stated by the President that the government, SOEs have never had a plan to abolish 450 VA electricity customers and make 900 VAs," Erick said as quoted from his official Instagram @erickthohir, Wednesday, September 21. Erick said, it is important for the state to be present to meet the needs of the community, in this case the fulfillment of electrical energy at a price that remains affordable.

This is because there are still many underprivileged people who need electricity at prices that are also affordable.

"Of course, as I said earlier, it is important that the state is present when the people need it. First, we continue to maintain the electricity subsidy that has been determined by the government," he explained.

As previously reported, the government has reiterated the growing wild issues. There is no plan to remove and not transfer the electricity customer group with a power of 450 Volt Ampere (VA).
