Prices Of Fuel Rising, KKP Invite Fishermen To Do Efficiency To Press Operational Costs

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) continues to strive for the needs of fuel oil (BBM) in each region to be met. Intensively, the KKP is said to continue to coordinate with PT Pertamina and BPH Migas to fulfill this.

Meanwhile, related to licensing fishing vessels with two types of fishing gear, Zaini revealed that currently, Minister of Marine Affairs Regulation 18/2021 has issued which regulates all types of fishing gear that are allowed and prohibited. Fishermen are advised to obey the rules of environmentally friendly fishing gear for the sustainability of fish resources. "We can't win it alone. The management of these fish resources is long term not only for now. If you stay naughty, you will deal with law enforcement officers," he said.

Previously, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono on various occasions explained that the government would always be present and fight for fishermen's rights.
