Bekasi Regency Government Supporting Jababeka Develops TOD Area

JAKARTA - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, supports and appreciates PT Jababeka Infrastruktur developing the concept of a transit-oriented area known as Transit Oriented Development (TOD). This support was conveyed by the Acting Regent of Bekasi Dani Ramdan while attending the signing of a cooperation agreement and a memorandum of understanding for Trans Jababeka services at Hollywood Junction Jababeka, North Cikarang District, Tuesday, September 6. "Apresiasi untuk Jababeka Insfratrutur yang mengubah paradigm pembangunan kawasan dengan tidak lagi berorientasi pada kendaraan pribadi melain pengembangan infrastruktur pelanja maupun kendaraan umum," katanya di Cikarang, dilansir dari Antara. He said that 3.8 million residents of Bekasi Regency needed massive public transportation movements in order to reduce fuel emissions and daily travel expenses for residents. "The increase in fuel prices has made a significant impact on the community because of course it will have an impact on rising prices for basic commodities and other needs," he said. He hopes that the signing of the new Trans Jababeka service cooperation will be one solution to reduce the burden on the residents of Bekasi Regency. The local government asks PT Jababeka Infrastruktur to be able to provide optimal comfort, including maximizing the concept of green energy. "This change, of course, is not only about public transportation facilities but also the concept of urban development that provides convenience and comfort, especially for residents of Bekasi Regency, including the arrangement of intermodal integration," he said. Dani also invited and encouraged the people of Bekasi Regency to use Trans Jababeka services as a means of transportation when carrying out their daily activities. "For people, especially those who are active in Jababeka or want to go to Jakarta, Blok M, airport, Bandung, and even cities in Central Java, please take advantage of this Trans Jababeka. The facilities are very comfortable and affordable, definitely safe," he said. The launch of the Trans Jababeka service was attended by elements of Forkopimda, President Director of PT Graha Buana Cikarang, Director of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur, and the leadership of transportation mode management who participated in the cooperation, namely DAMRI, PPD, Primajasa, Swoop, Sinar Jaya and Starvo.
