JAKARTA - The Land Transport Organization (Organda) has asked the government to immediately provide and set guidelines for adjusting tariffs for various modes of economic class road transportation according to the level.
This follows the increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM) subsidies of the Pertalite and Solar types.
Organda chairman Adrianto Djokosoetono said the current price of Solar subsidies rose 320 percent from before. Meanwhile, Pertalite prices rose 31.7 percent.
"Almost 100 percent of Organda members in various modes consume Pertalite and Solar fuels. For this reason, the Organda DPP asks the government to immediately provide and establish guidelines for adjusting the tariffs for various modes for economic class road transportation according to the level," said Adrianto, in an official statement, quoted on Sunday, September 4.
The economic class according to the level is the Ministry of Transportation for inter-city transportation between provinces (AKAP) for economic class, Provincial Transportation Service for inter-city cities in economic and taxi class (AKDP), Regency/City Transportation Service for Urban and Rural Transportation.
"For non-economic modes, operators can adjust by looking at the potential and market conditions," he said.
Adrianto also asked all levels of the Organda to maintain the conduciveness of their respective regions in adjusting transportation rates and doing so in an orderly manner in order to maintain Organda support for the needs of community movement, both people and logistics.
With the increase in subsidized fuel rates, Organda requested that the government guarantee the supply and smooth supply of subsidized fuel as needed throughout Indonesia, including the quality level according to the specifications.
"The government must be firm and take sufficient steps to oversee the distribution of subsidized fuel according to the provisions, where all this time every year the distribution of subsidized fuel always experiences scarcity," said Adrianto.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Anteng Organda Aryono said basically the Organda supports the registration efforts of the entire subsidized fuel/users fleet through MyPertamina which is expected to increase accountability for the use and certainty of distribution.
"However, the registration process must remain easy and Pertamina does it proactively, especially since it must be guaranteed certainty and system reliability," said Ateng.
With the increase in subsidized fuel tariffs, said Ateng, all restrictions on the use/assistance of subsidized fuel on road public transportation must be immediately removed and canceled.
"Considering that it is more difficult for road urban transportation operations," he said.
Ateng said, Organda also asked the government to accelerate the improvement of the administration of road public transportation permits, so as to clarify the position of licensed and illegal public transportation (unofficial).
This includes asking the government to take systematic and continuous steps to enforce law enforcement against illegal (illegal) transportation, so that the road transportation industry ecosystem remains conducive and competitive, contribute positively to all social dynamics of the national economy, always safe and sustainable, while still prioritizing inclusiveness.
