Happy News! Oil At A Price Of Rp. 14,000 Per Liter Already Circulating In West Papua

JAKARTA - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said cooking oil with the trademark Oilita had arrived and circulated in West Papua.

This means that the people of West Papua can now enjoy bulk cooking oil with simple packaging at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter.

Zulhas as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, said that now the people of West Papua can shop for bulk cooking oil that is packaged at a very affordable price.

For your information, one container containing 18,600 liters of oilelita has arrived at Fakfak Harbor, West Papua Province, on Monday, August 29.

"The chainer containing the oil and gas that has arrived at Fakfak was sent from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta on August 11, 2022, using a sea highway facility, the result of cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, August 31.

Zulhas said, West Papua is one of the areas that is a priority in the distribution of oil and gas for equitable distribution of cooking oil at affordable prices throughout Indonesia.

The oil palm oil that has arrived in Fakfak, continued Zulhas, will be directly distributed through one of the distributors, namely PT Sinar Suri Fakfak, to retailers in Fakfak Regency and its surroundings.

The West Papua Province Industry and Trade Office targets Kumita to be available in the community soon a day after arriving in Fakfak. The price of oilita will not exceed the HET.

Based on the monitoring of the price of the Ministry of Trade in the Market Monitoring and Basic Needs System (SP2KP), the average price of packaged cooking oil for the MINYARITA brand in Papua and West Papua is in accordance with HET or Rp. 14,000 per liter.

Zulhas also said that the next wave of shipments of oil is planned to arrive in Fakfak in the second week of September 2022.

"The volume that was shipped is the same as the first delivery, namely one container or the equivalent of 18,600 liters," he said.

Zulhas explained that the distribution of oilita is one of the government's efforts to increase the supply of cooking oil at affordable prices and with good quality.

"Business actors are also encouraged to increase oil production by making it an alternative to the distribution of domestic market obligation (DMO) as a condition for exporting CPO products and their derivative products," he said.

For your information, the total shipment of oil palms made on August 11, 2022, was 1.32 million liters.

This oil has been released to various regions using sea toll roads to reduce logistics distribution costs, so that HET cooking oil can be achieved.
