State Ready To Channel BBM BLT Rp600,000, Pos Indonesia Prepares Three Ways

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal R Djoemadi expressed the readiness of the SOEs he led to carry out the mandate as well as the task of the state as the distribution of direct cash assistance (BLT) fuel worth Rp. 600,000. There are three ways that will be carried out in the distribution of BLT.

First, said Faizal, you can take it directly at the nearest post office for beneficiaries who live within a radius of about 500 meters from the post office. Second, channeling through communities, such as RT/RW, sub-district and sub-district.

"Third, they are delivered directly to each house for people with disabilities, parents, and residents living in the 3 T (Front, Disadvantaged, Outermost) area," he said in an official statement, quoted Wednesday, August 31.

Regarding the beneficiary data, said Faizal, his party will coordinate with the Ministry of Social Affairs intensively so that the data for 20.6 million people can be obtained immediately.

"We will gradually receive recipient data. Currently, the data that has been received is 1.5 million people and we immediately send invitations to their respective addresses with information on the schedule and location of the BLT BBM collection," said Faizal.

Faizal also targets as many as 20.6 million BLT fuel recipients to receive their rights in 2 weeks. To speed up the distribution, PT Pos Indonesia cooperates with all parties.

"We are targeting that in two weeks all BLT fuel beneficiaries will receive their rights. Therefore, we will also increase cooperation with outsiders, such as recruiting students and the community as payers. Or the local government, social services, local officials, the police and soldiers so that distribution can be fast," he said.

Meanwhile, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir is optimistic that the distribution of BLT assistance as social assistance for the transfer of fuel subsidies, through PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) will run on target and time.

"I am optimistic that PT Pos Indonesia as the spearhead of distribution and experience in distributing Cash Social Assistance and Basic Food Cards some time ago was able to carry out this mandate on target and on time," said Erick.

Erick said this BLT is important, so that people's purchasing power is maintained in line with the trend of price increases due to the impact of the global crisis that is currently hitting.

"The experience of cooperation carried out by PT Pos Indonesia, both with Himbara when distributing BLT during the COVID-19 pandemic, or the Ministry of Social Affairs to spread other social assistance makes them have an effective and efficient way," he said.
