Minister Of SOEs Optimistic Of Distribution Of BLT Subsidy Subsidy On Target

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir is optimistic that the distribution of direct cash assistance (BLT) as social assistance for the transfer of fuel subsidies (BBM) will run on target and time.

"I am optimistic that PT Pos Indonesia as the spearhead of distribution and experience in distributing Cash Social Assistance and Basic Food Cards some time ago was able to carry out this mandate on target and on time," said Erick in an official statement, Wednesday, August 31.

Erick said this BLT is important, so that people's purchasing power is maintained in line with the trend of price increases due to the impact of the global crisis that is currently hitting.

Erick was also present at the eastern tip of Indonesia to accompany President Jokowi who handed over BLT BBM to 20.6 million beneficiary communities with an amount of Rp. 150,000 per person for four months.

With each person receiving IDR 600,000, the BLT fuel will be given twice.

"The experience of cooperation carried out by PT Pos Indonesia, both with Himbara when distributing BLT during the COVID-19 pandemic, or the Ministry of Social Affairs to spread other social assistance makes them have an effective and efficient way," he said.

"Because of this, the task of the state and distribution must be completed quickly, until now the distribution of all aid that has been carried out by PT Pos has almost reached 100 percent," continued Erick.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal R Djoemadi expressed the readiness of the SOEs he led to carry out the mandate and task of this country.

Faizal said, coordination regarding the data on beneficiaries with the Ministry of Social Affairs will be intensified so that the data for 20.6 million people can be obtained immediately.

"We will gradually receive recipient data. Currently, the data that has been received is 1.5 million people and we immediately send invitations to their respective addresses with information on the schedule and location of the BLT BBM collection," said Faizal.

Faizal said the distribution of the aid would be done in three ways.

First, take it at the nearest post office for beneficiaries who are domiciled within a radius of about 500 meters from the post office.

Second, channeling through communities, such as RT/RW, sub-districts and sub-districts. Third, delivery directly to each house for people with disabilities, parents, and residents living in 3T (Front, Disadvantaged, Outermost) areas.

"We are targeting that in two weeks all BLT fuel beneficiaries will receive their rights. Therefore, we will also increase cooperation with outsiders, such as recruiting students and the community as payers. Or the local government, social services, local officials, the police and soldiers so that distribution can be fast," he said.
