Taking IDR 287 Billion, The Ministry Of Industry's Budget Ceiling To IDR 2.91 Trillion In 2023

JAKAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry's budget ceiling in 2023 will be IDR 2.91 trillion from the previous IDR 2.62 trillion in the indicative ceiling or an increase of IDR 287 billion. The increase in the budget will be allocated to strategic programs run by the Ministry of Industry next year.

"This additional allocation will, among other things, be used for Indonesia's participation as Partner Country Hannover Messe, the growth and development of new entrepreneurs based on potential regions, as well as the development of a manufacturing center in Indonesia," said Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita at a working meeting with Commission VII DPR RI in Jakarta, Monday, August 29.

Other strategic programs, namely facilitation of TKDN certification for domestic industrial products, facilitation of halal certification of industrial products, engine restructuring/industrial equipment, preparation of commodity balances, and facilitation of green industrial certification. "In addition, it will be used for the establishment of institutions and operationalization of the Indonesian Digital Industry Center 4.0 (PIDI 4.0)," said Agus.

Meanwhile, the allocation of the Ministry of Industry's budget ceiling based on the program, includes a management support program of Rp. 1.51 trillion, an additional value program and industrial competitiveness program of Rp. 914.59 billion, as well as education and vocational training programs of RP491.89 billion.

On this occasion, the Minister of Industry explained that the Ministry of Industry's budget allocation in 2022 will still run out of a total ceiling of IDR 2.86 trillion. Some of the activity achievements carried out include the implementation of the growth and development of New Entrepreneurs (WUB) to 5,342 small and medium industries (IKM), which until August 2022 have reached 4,330 IKM or 81.05 percent.

Furthermore, the implementation of TKDN certification as many as 1,250 certificates, which until August 1,416 certificates have been obtained, realized 113.28 percent or exceeded the target. Furthermore, the implementation of training for Education 3 in 1 industrial worker as many as 25,800 people, which until July 2022 has been achieved 21,800 people or 84.50 percent.

The Minister of Industry also said that his party had managed a budget of IDR 2.82 trillion in 2021, with a realization of IDR 2.75 trillion or 97.45 percent of the budget ceiling. "This realization of the Ministry of Industry has exceeded the national realization and ranks 35th out of 87 Ministries/Institutions. Realization in 2021 is the highest achievement since 2017," he said.

In the budget of Rp2.82 trillion, the Ministry of Industry also allocates a budget for handling the COVID-19 pandemic and national economic recovery (PC-PEN) of Rp499.80 billion with a realization of Rp493.92 billion or 98.82 percent of the budget ceiling.

"In addition to allocating a budget for handling Covid-19, the Ministry of Industry has also allocated a budget in the context of National Economic Recovery (PEN) of IDR 325.40 billion with a realization of IDR 322.65 billion or 99.15 percent which is included in the health cluster and priority program cluster," said Agus.
