JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has decided to postpone the implementation of a new online motorcycle taxi (online) tariff in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KP 564 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for Calculation of the Cost of Services for the Use of Motorcycles Using for Public Interest. This postponement decision takes into account various situations and conditions that are developing among the community. In addition, the delay is needed to get more input from stakeholders, as well as to review so that the best results are obtained," said Transportation Ministry Spokesperson Adita Irawati in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, August 28. Adita said the Ministry of Transportation is still coordinating and attracting input from stakeholders, including transportation experts regarding online motorcycle taxi fares. In addition, the Ministry of Transportation will also immediately convey to the public if a decision has been made regarding the plan to increase this ojol tariff. The Ministry of Transportation has also postponed the implementation of KM Number 564 of 2022, which states that the implementation is effective for a maximum of 10 calendar days since it was issued on August 4, 2022. This rule was originally in effect no later than Saturday (13/8), however, the Ministry of Transportation determined that the adjustment of the applicator to the tariff could be carried out no later than 25 calendar days after the KM was set, or today Sunday, August 28, 2022.
