JAKARTA - The government has not set a definite date for the restriction of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) such as diesel and pertalite.

BPH Migas Committee member, Saleh Abdurrahman said that until now his party is still waiting for the issuance of the revised Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 191 of 2014 concerning Supply, Distribution and Retail Selling Price of Oil Fuel.

"If the Perpres is issued, we will immediately move. But while waiting for that, I think another thing we can do together with Pertamina is to register," Saleh said in Jakarta, Monday, August 1.

According to him, this registration must be accelerated in order to determine the success of the post-revised Presidential Regulation 191 program.

In addition, with this registration, related parties can find out the exact number of users of four-wheeled vehicles above and below 1,500 CC.

He also appealed to related business entities such as Pertamina to speed up the registration process for four-wheeled vehicles.

"Later the policy can develop with that. So it is very important now, we urge Pertamina business entities to increase efforts to register the MyPertamina digitization system," Saleh continued.

There are rumors that the government will impose restrictions on purchasing BBM with QR Code on August 1, 2022.

PT Pertamina (Persero) through Pertamina's Corporate Secretary Patra Niaga Irto Ginting denied the issue related to the use of the MyPertamina application starting August 1, 2022.

According to Irto, until now his party has not decided when the purchase of BBM with QR Code will be implemented.

"There has been no decision on the date for determining the use of the QR Code," he told VOI, Monday, July 25.

Irto also appreciated the people who have supported the Right Target Subsidy Program by registering either at the registration booth at the specified gas station/location, subsiditepat.mypertamina.id website or through the MyPertamina application.

He added that currently the entire registration process is still ongoing.

Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif targeted the revision of Presidential Regulation No. 191 of 2014 to be completed in August 2022.

The regulation also regulates the rules for purchasing subsidized fuel pertalite type.

Currently, the initiative permit to revise the rules for purchasing subsidized fuel, aka Perpres 191/2014, has been obtained.

"God willing (August), we have to work fast. The items are already there," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 27.

Regarding the proposed items, Arifin is still reluctant to open his voice because the government is currently focusing on following up on the initiative permits that have been issued.

"The initiative permit has been issued, now we will follow up to make improvements from what was previously adapted to the existing situation," he continued.
