Record Positive Performance, Pertamina NRE Books Net Profit Of 81,635 US Dollars

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Power Indonesia as Subholding Power & New Renewable Energy Pertamina (Pertamina NRE) recorded a positive performance throughout 2021.

In terms of financial performance, Pertamina NRE showed positive performance by successfully posting consolidated revenues, net income and EBITDA of 370,984 US dollars, 81,635 US dollars and 277,390 US dollars, respectively.

The consolidated revenue reached 105 percent, the consolidated net profit reached 114 percent, and EBITDA reached 107 percent against the 2021 RKAP.

"This positive performance cannot be separated from the solid team work at Pertamina NRE and the support provided by shareholders and stakeholders so that we focus on realizing the energy transition mandated by Pertamina," said Pertamina NRE Corporate Secretary, Dicky Septriadi to reporters, Thursday, 21 July.

Dicky added that Pertamina NRE also recorded a positive operating performance in 2021, where electricity production reached 4,686 GWh or reached 104 percent of the RKAP which was contributed from the Kamojang geothermal work area, Lumut Balai, and the Sei Mangkei biogas power plant (PLTBg).

The positive operational performance was also supported by the good performance of HSSE, which recorded zero fatalities.

A number of milestones have been achieved by Pertamina NRE throughout 2021, including the signing of a head of agreement (HoA) with other Pertamina subholdings related to the energy transition within Pertamina.

Pertamina NRE also succeeded in realizing the commercial operation date (COD) of the Sei Mangkei solar power plant (PLTS) with a capacity of 2 MWp and PLTS RU Cilacap with a capacity of 1.34 MWp.

In geothermal, Pertamina NRE also conducted two pilot projects, namely the development of green hydrogen in the Ulubelu Area and a binary pilot plant in the Lahendong Area.

Green hydrogen in Ulubelu is targeted to produce up to 100 kg per day.

While the binary plant has the potential to reach a capacity of 200 MW from other geothermal areas.

In 2021 Pertamina NRE succeeded in adding the installation of rooftop PLTS at 77 gas stations, so that by the end of 2021 the total PLTS roof was installed at 129 gas stations with a total capacity of 0.69 MWp.

In addition, Pertamina NRE has also installed PLTS internally at Pertamina with a total capacity of 0.45 MWp in 2021.

So that the total PLTS that has been installed until the end of 2021 will reach 10.48 MWp.

Pertamina NRE has also signed a number of memorandums of understanding with strategic partners, including with JAPEX and LEMIGAS for the carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) project, with Pupuk Indonesia for the development of hydrogen for blue and green ammonia, with ACWA for the development of new and renewable energy ( EBT), as well as with the Java Bali Generation (PJB) for the management of electricity infrastructure.

"Pertamina targets aggressive growth, especially in operational performance, for that in 2022 we will realize a number of milestone projects that will increase installed capacity and electricity production. Not only electricity, Pertamina NRE is also developing a nature based solution project in collaboration with Perhutani. In the framework of the G20, Pertamina NRE supports Pertamina's active role, especially in the transition agenda towards sustainable energy," he concluded.
