Deadly Tank Truck Accident In Cibubur, Pertamina Will Be Responsible

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga responded to the deadly tanker truck accident that occurred on Jalan Transyogi Cibubur.

The Pertamina tanker truck accident occurred at 15.29 WIB.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Region, Eko Kristiawan expressed his apologies and condolences to the families of the accident victims.

"PT Pertamina Patra Niaga expresses its apologies and deep condolences to the victim and the victim's family. Currently, the victim is being treated," he said when contacted by VOI, Monday, July 18.

Eko added that PT Pertamina Patra Niaga will be responsible for the accidents that occur and seek maximum treatment for all victims.

Regarding the cause of the accident, his party will cooperate with the authorities in conducting an investigation.

"The cause of the accident is being investigated in collaboration with the authorities," he continued.

Eko also ensured that the supply of fuel to meet the needs of the community did not experience problems due to the incident.

It was previously reported that a series of accidents involving Pertamina's trucks occurred on the Alternative Highway Transyogi Cibubur, in front of the CBD, RT 01/01, Jatirangga Village, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi, Monday, July 18.

As a result of the accident, it was reported that dozens of people were injured and eight people died.

When confirmed, the Head of Public Relations of the Bekasi Metro Police, Kompol Erna Ruswing, said that his party had not received detailed information regarding the incident.

"I don't know (how many people died), there is no confirmation. The Head of Laka (Satlantas Polres Bekasi City) is still at the TKP," said Kompol Erna when confirmed by VOI, Monday, July 18, evening.

Until now, the traffic accident case is still being handled by the Bekasi City Metro Police Traffic Unit.
