The Government Calls Village Funds Successfully Improved Village Development And Empowerment

JAKARTA - The government through the Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara stated that the existence of the Village Fund distributed by the center was considered to have a real contribution to the development and empowerment of rural communities.

Shopping must be managed properly and useful for the benefit of the community. Villages must be able to explore potential through agreements in village deliberations, he said in a written statement during a working visit to Yogyakarta, Friday, July 8.

According to Suahasil, the dialogue between village heads, the community and local economic actors must continue to be improved. He hopes that the village can continue to look for the best way to improve welfare through collaboration with the special mission vehicle (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance, namely PIP, to encourage BUMDes and MSMEs to develop through training and financing.

"Through this collaboration, we can open up many opportunities to carry out productive activities which are expected by the village to be more advanced," he said.

VOI noted that until July 4, 2022, the absorption of the 2022 Village Fund had touched Rp32.1 trillion from the Rp68 trillion budget ceiling. This realization grew 20 percent compared to the same period the previous year with Rp26.7 trillion.

"Village funds are expected to be useful in empowering the community, both through empowering BUMDes and MSMEs, so that the benefits of the Village Fund can be felt by all levels," concluded Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara.
