Starting To Socialize The Purchase Of Bulk Cooking Oil Using Care, The Yogyakarta Trade Office Continues To Optimize The Simirah Program

JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta City Trade Office is still optimizing the Simirah program to oversee sales of people's bulk cooking oil while socializing the new policy for purchasing these commodities using the PeduliLindung application.

“The socialization period is carried out for two weeks starting Monday, June 27. Hopefully, the public will accept this policy change," said the Head of the Availability of Trade Supervision and Control at the Yogyakarta City Trade Office, Riswanti, as quoted by Antara, Sunday, June 26.

Based on the new policy, every consumer who wants to buy bulk cooking oil is asked to use the PeduliLindung application. If they do not have it, the consumer is asked to show the resident identification number (NIK) listed on the ID card.

According to him, the implementation of the new policy for the purchase of bulk cooking oil cannot immediately be fully implemented because it requires a lot of supporting preparations.

“The implementation must proceed, starting from the registration process and the readiness of facilities and infrastructure. We're just processing. Even from the available information, purchases can still be made using a NIK if you don't have PeduliLindungi," he said.

Riswanti said the policy to show NIK when purchasing bulk cooking oil had actually been implemented at this time through the Simirah program.

Each consumer can only buy cooking oil up to 10 liters per day. "One NIK can only buy a maximum of 10 liters of cooking oil per day," he said.

He also ensured that the stock and price of cooking oil in the city of Yogyakarta were in safe quantities and met the needs of the community so that consumers do not have to worry about not getting the commodities they need.

Based on food price data in the Jogja Smart Service (JSS) application, the average price of bulk cooking oil in the traditional market of Yogyakarta City is Rp. 15,500 per kilogram.
