SOE Minister Pushes West Java To Become A Creative And Festival Center

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir expressed his appreciation for the excitement of the creative industry and the growing festival stage in West Java. Erick also encouraged the area, which is often a trendsetter for the development of music and entertainment, to become a creative center and festival in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by Erick Thohir at the Telkomsel Fest 2022 event which took place at the Brigif Manunggal Kujang II Field, Bandung, West Java.

Erick also appreciated Telkomsel for holding this music festival for customers. Moreover, the event was attended by 30 thousand millennial viewers.

"I think West Java deserves to be a creative center and festival in the country. Its citizens enjoy unlimited music. Erick especially surprised singer Denny Caknan in the form of an electric bicycle as a gift. Denny's video for the song "SATRU 2" has managed to reach 23 million views on YouTube since it was launched four months ago.

"I promised Denny Caknan, and it turns out that the fans are amazing. This proves that our domestic market is very large and this opportunity must be exploited and seized by the younger generation engaged in the entertainment industry. We must make Indonesia a pop culture country," he said. add.
