IDIC Supports Digitalization Of Business Management In BPRs And BPRS

JAKARTA - The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) supports the Rural Bank (BPR) and Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) to transform towards digital to improve the quality of bank business management.

"The post-pandemic moment can be used by BPR/BPRS to transform business from what was originally done manually to digital so that services to customers become more optimal," said Primary Advisor to the LPS Training Center, Budi Joyo, to reporters, Thursday, June 9, 2022.

He explained that LPS support for the BPR/BPRS industry has been carried out routinely.

Last year, IDIC held training for BPR Commissioners and Directors throughout Indonesia for 5 days.

"And one of them leads to bank compliance or how to manage BPR prudently, the training also runs smoothly and hopefully can be a guide for the participants," he added.

LPS, said Budi, participated in socializing the 3T Guarantee Terms, which consisted of being recorded in the bank's books, the Guarantee Interest Rate (TBP) did not exceed the LPS TBP, and customers did not take actions that were detrimental to the bank, such as having bad loans.

Apart from that, the IDIC's commitment to better serve the community was also disseminated. One of them is helping customers to know the terms of deposit insurance by presenting a simulation of the LPS Calculator.

The presence of this 3T LPS calculator helps the public to better understand the terms of the guarantee.

The LPS 3T Calculator Simulation can be accessed easily, anytime, and anywhere through the LPS official website at www.lps.go.id.

With this innovation, if a bank is forced to be liquidated, customer deposits can still be paid by LPS because their deposits have complied with the 3T requirements.

Furthermore, Head of Perbarindo DPD Central Java, Dedi Sumarsana, stated that with this digitalization program, it is hoped that MSMEs assisted by BPR-BPRS can transform by utilizing technology in financial management, monitoring business cashflow or digital sales development so that they can obtain optimal benefits.

The target for the implementation of operational digitization of BPR-BPRS is in 6 (six) Perbarindo areas in Central Java, covering all BPR-BPRS in Central Java as many as 254 BPR-BPRS. To date, it has only been implemented in 3 (three) regions, namely Perbarindo DPK Tegal on 23-24 February 2022 (30 BPR-BPRS), Perbarindo DPK Pati on 23-24 March 2022 (33 BPR-BPRS).
