JAKARTA - The Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) stated that as many as five strategic projects are included in the national priority to be implemented in 2023.

"There are five BPTJ strategic activities that are included in the national priority (with a budget) of Rp.

Umar explained that the BPTJ's indicative ceiling for 2023 has been set at Rp259 billion.

According to him, this amount has been allocated to implement a number of connectivity infrastructure development programs as well as personnel spending.

Meanwhile, Rp105 billion will be used to carry out a number of national strategic activities, namely the improvement of the operational building of Pondok Rajeg Station, the construction of a mode transfer integration facility in the Bogor Station Area, subsidies for passenger transportation (Buy The Service) in Bogor City along with project management assistance, Area Traffic Control Jabodetabek Integrated System (ATCS), and urban transportation and safety system facilities in the Provinces of West Java and Banten.

"In principle, we want to present transportation that prioritizes safety, security, and services in Jabodetabek," he said.

However, Umar revealed, BPTJ also needs additional funding of Rp. 130 billion so that all planned programs can be implemented properly.

This addition is needed to meet the needs of Buy The Service urban transportation services as many as 2 corridors in Bekasi City, 2 corridors in Tangerang City, 2 corridors in Depok City, including development project management assistance with a value of Rp. 82.3 billion.

Then the need for 2 ATCS units as well as a calculating tool whose value is Rp. 47.6 billion.

The former Head of the Transportation Research and Development Agency asked for support and input from Commission V of the DPR RI to make the implementation of budget use at BPTJ run efficiently and on target.

"Because of the limitations of the state budget, we are also working on responsibilities. We will think about recommending creative funding," he said.
