Trans Power Marine Divided Dividend Rp31.6 Billion

JAKARTA - The shipping company PT Trans Power Marine Tbk (TPMA) will distribute a cash dividend of IDR 31.6 billion.

This was approved at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which was held on Wednesday 8 June. TPMA distributed cash dividends of Rp. 31,599,600,000 or Rp. 12 per share.

"This cash dividend distribution is a thank you for the support from shareholders so far," said TPMA's Corporate Secretary, Rudy Sutiono.

Rudy said, in general, the company does not face any material business challenges in 2021. The company remains cautious in responding to economic conditions, both on a national and global scale because this has an impact on the level of demand for transportation services provided by TPMA, both trans-shipment and inter-island.

At the end of 2021, there is a policy of banning coal exports imposed by the Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia which is effective on January 1, 2022. In facing this challenge, in general, the performance of TPMA is not affected, even the demand for transportation to PLTU continues to increase.

Therefore, the company seeks to improve inter-island or domestic transportation services while still supporting government policies and maintaining fleet readiness.

From a financial perspective, TPMA managed to record an operating revenue growth of 5.67 percent from US$39.76 million in 2020 to US$42.02 million in 2021. Along with this growth, the company was able to boost its net profit from US$2.17 million. The US in 2020 rose 86.63 percent to US$4.05 million in 2021.

Rudy said this growth can only be achieved through synergistic cooperation between business units and the implementation of timely and targeted strategies.

"The company did not set a specific target at the beginning of the year, considering that business conditions were not yet conducive and moving very dynamically. However, with the achievement of performance that can be achieved throughout 2021, we conclude that in general the company has succeeded in achieving the target that has been set," he said.
