Mr. Erick, A BRI Employee Wins A Silver Medal At The Vietnam Sea Games Shooting Games

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI revealed that one of its employees has succeeded in making a proud achievement by winning a silver medal at the Vietnam Sea Games in the shooting sport.

Director of Human Resources (HR) BRI Agus Winardono said the employee and athlete was named Muhammad Chuwaizam or commonly called Izam, who is part of a large family of SOEs.

"BRI always strives to create an open and positive working atmosphere, one of which is by encouraging the development of employee talent so as to create a work-life balance," he said in an official statement on Thursday, May 26.

According to Agus, every individual involved in the company is an important part of continuing to achieve the best targets.

“The achievements made are inseparable from the work culture that we have developed. BRI believes that all people are assets as well as the backbone of the company in achieving its goals," he said.

On the same occasion, Izam revealed that when he applied for a job at BRI in 2016 he had become a shooting athlete.

“BRI always gives permission when there is a training center and always supports it. Indeed, if I have permission with a statement to defend the country, the office is always supportive. Thank God that's the policy," he said.

Izam added that his introduction to shooting sports occurred at the end of 2009 when he was still studying at the Faculty of Sports Science, National University of Jakarta (UNJ).

“Incidentally at that time there was a shooting instructor recruitment process from Perbakin in Senayan and I passed. On the way, I received a recommendation for the selection of the national shooting team in the 2011 SEA Games in Jakarta-Palembang. This is the beginning of entering the national team," he explained.

Izam's recommendation from the shooting organization was not wasted. The international achievements began in 2015 by winning a silver medal in shooting championships throughout Southeast Asia.

"In the future I want to participate in the World Championship in France in August with the target of getting points to enter the Olympic quota," he said.

"In addition, there is the Asian Games championship in China 2023. Here we are aiming for achievements in individual or team events," said the subordinate of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, ending.
