Cuan! Merck AGMS Approves Dividend Distribution Of Rp107 Billion To Shareholders, Equivalent To 81.4 Percent Of 2021 Net Profit

JAKARTA – PT Merck Tbk's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS). decided to distribute dividends to shareholders derived from performance gains in 2021 ago.

Merck President Director Evie Yulin said that the value of the dividends distributed this time reached Rp107.5 billion. This figure is equivalent to 81.44 percent of the company's net profit last year which reached Rp132 billion.

"The dividend value given is equivalent to Rp. 240 per share," he said during a press conference via online channels on Wednesday, May 25.

According to Evie, the decision to distribute dividends cannot be separated from the company's solid performance over the past year. According to him, Merck managed to record revenue growth of 62 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp1 trillion compared to the 2020 period of Rp656 billion.

"The increase in revenue was offset by the improvement in the company's operational efficiency," he said.

For information, the issuer codenamed MERK shares is planned to immediately distribute dividends to shareholders next month.

"The dividend distribution schedule will start on June 24, 2022," concluded Evie.
