To Prevent Fuel Shortages, The Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Requires A Minimum 60 Percent Occupancy At Gas Stations

JAKARTA - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, has again carried out inspections at a number of gas stations on the Pantura homecoming route. The two gas stations inspected today are gas station 34,451.60 at Rest Area Palikanci KM 207 A, Palimanan Kanci Toll Road, Cirebon Regency and SPBU 34,451.06 - Ciperna KM 7.

Based on the results of today's monitoring, the availability of fuel stock is at a safe level and there is no shortage of fuel.

According to Arifin, in general there are no obstacles related to the availability of fuel at gas stations, in fact what is happening now is the density of community traffic. According to him, this extraordinary traffic density is something that cannot be avoided.

"From the availability of fuel, I don't think there is a significant problem, we can only see that the situation of the traffic density is extraordinary," said Arifin when inspecting gas stations directly, Thursday, April 28.

Responding to the overcrowding and preventing fuel shortages, Arifin asked that the fuel supply at gas stations be 60 percent of the existing capacity, plus a fuel car that is always on standby to supply fuel.

"The gas stations are kept full, a minimum of 60 percent of the tank must be filled, of course coupled with additional strengthening of supply cars (mobile storage). I ask that these supply cars be fully filled so that they can be distributed to places where they are needed," Arifin explained.

In the same place, Director of Infrastructure and Logistics of PT Pertamina (Persero) Mulyono said that the flow of going home from Jakarta to the east was starting to get busy, but on the other hand those going west still looked smooth.

"The two gas stations that we checked with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Alhamdulillah, although there is an increase in demand, the stock is safe and the service is still normal, there are no queues. Hopefully, until the Eid holiday ends, everything can be controlled properly," explained Mulyono.

Based on data from PT Pertamina (Persero), as of April 27, 2022 yesterday, the stock of Gasoline type fuel was around 365,076 kilo liters (KL) consisting of Pertalite 257,100 KL, Pertamax 97,798 KL and Pertamax Turbo 10,178 KL.

The stock holding of the three types of fuel is 13.1 days with daily consumption of 27,899 KL consisting of Pertalite 21,960 KL, Pertamax 5,642 and Pertamax Turbo 290 KL. For Gasoil, available stock is around 146,191 KL, consisting of Diesel 121,257 KL and Dex 24,934 KL.

The stock lasts for 14.9 days with daily consumption of 9,806 KL, consisting of 9,355 KL of Diesel and 451 KL of Dex. As for Avtur, the stock is around 57,721 KL. Stock resistance for 12.8 days with daily consumption of 4,502 KL. And for LPG stock 20,826 KL. Stock resistance for 2.6 days with daily consumption of 8,021 KL.
