Entering The Commercial Segment, Pelita Air Flys First To Bali Today

JAKARTA - Pelita Air carried out its inaugural regular flight with an Airbus A320-200 aircraft on the Jakarta-Bali-Jakarta route from Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport today.

"For the initial stage, we will run the inaugural Jakarta-Bali-Jakarta regular flight route today, April 28, 2022," said President Director of PT Pelita Air Service Dendy Kurniawan, in a written statement received by VOI, quoted Thursday, April 28.

Dendy explained that the route was chosen because it is a favorite destination for tourists, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic gradually turned into an endemic. As well as the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday and supporting business trips.

"Pelita Air tickets can be obtained directly through Pelita Air travel agency partners, namely Mitra Tours and Travel, Bayu Buana Travel, and Panorama JTB Tour," he said.

Dendy expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation for the support and good coordination from Pertamina as the parent company, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of SOEs, airport managers PT Angkasa Pura I, PT Angkasa Pura II, AirNav Indonesia, and various other related parties regarding the success of Pelita Air made this maiden flight.

For now, said Dendy, Pelita Air Service has two units of Airbus A320-200 aircraft which arrived in Jakarta on April 11, 2022 at Soekarno Hatta Airport. In the future, Pelita Air Service plans to open travel routes to other favorite tourist destinations and businesses in Indonesia.

"The return of regular Pelita Air flights is expected to return passengers' longing to experience a pleasant flight with Pelita Air," he said.
