JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Tbk is collaborating with the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) in providing light credit guarantees to MSMEs for the fastrex financing program with a maximum facility of up to Rp25 billion.

This collaboration is in line with the BNI Xpora Program which emphasizes three value propositions, namely Go Productive, Go Digital, and Go Global so that MSMEs can increase capabilities, gain access to digital knowledge, and expand markets to foreign countries and go international.

BNI's President Director Royke Tumilaar said the purpose of this collaboration was in line with BNI's commitment to support MSME partners so that they could advance to class and go global.

So far, BNI has not only acted as an intermediary institution, but also as a collaborator that brings together MSME partners with stakeholders.

"We appreciate LPEI's active role with BNI in finding solutions to help and encourage MSME players not only to take advantage of the domestic market, but also to foreign markets whose potential is no less large," he said, quoted from Antara, Monday 25 April.

The signing of this commitment was attended by BNI President Director Royke Tumilaar, BNI MSME Business Director Muhammad Iqbal and BNI Treasury & International Director Henry Panjaitan along with the Chairman of the Board of Directors and LPEI Executive Director Rijani Tirtoso, LPEI Financing Managing Director Dikdik Yustandi, and LPEI Business Development Managing Director. LPEI Maqin U Norhadi.

Royke added that currently BNI has very adequate infrastructure to support MSMEs Go Global, with its Champion Program, BNI Xpora.

Some of the advantages of this program are export MSME financing with attractive interest rates and lighter collateral requirements through cooperation with guarantee companies.

Another advantage is that BNI has an extensive network abroad, namely Foreign Branch Offices (KCLN) and a network of correspondent partner banks that will make it easier for MSMEs to conduct business matching and export transactions.

Furthermore, BNI also has the best cash management services that make it easier for MSMEs to transact. BNI's Cash Management Services are often recognized as the best compared to peers, among others, as The Best Cash Management Bank in Indonesia at the Annual Best FI Award.

"As a state-owned bank, we can act as collaborators that bring together MSMEs with other stakeholders using the Open API (Application Programming Interface)," he said.

On this occasion, LPEI Executive Director Rijani Tirtoso said that as fellow development agents, BNI and LPEI need to work closely together in the context of developing various economic potentials owned by the country.

Currently, according to him, LPEI itself is focusing on improving the function of the Institution in terms of increasing exports of domestic products, especially in the MSME segment.

Not only increasing financing, LPEI is also proactive in establishing a productive ecosystem that ensures the sustainability of exports for the MSME segment. In addition, LPEI also focuses on optimizing strategic consulting services in order to develop MSME exports more progressively.

"Our meeting this time is only a format that we formalize, but our cooperation with BNI has been very long. This reaffirms that the relationship between BNI and LPEI must be further expanded," he said.
