CIMB Niaga Encourages Customers To Use Cardless Transaction With OCTO Mobile

JAKARTA - OCTO Mobile, the Super App of PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga) encourages customers to adopt an environmentally friendly lifestyle with the Cardless feature.

With the Cardless feature of OCTO Mobile, customers can make cash withdrawals and deposits at all ATM machines or CIMB Niaga Cash Deposit Machines without using an ATM/debit card.

CIMB Niaga Head of Digital Banking, Branchless and Partnership Bambang Karsono Adi said that apart from providing convenience and practicality, this feature also reduces the use of plastic cards, so that it is in line with CIMB Niaga's initiatives in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

"We invite customers to optimize the use of digital banking to support daily activities, such as the Cardless feature in OCTO Mobile, which makes customers no longer dependent on plastic ATM/debit cards to withdraw or deposit funds at ATM machines/Cash Deposits," said Bambang, Wednesday, March 16.

Bambang explained that the Cardless feature offers a number of advantages. Starting from reducing the risk of an ATM/debit card if it is lost or swallowed, avoiding fraud because the features presented can only be used to withdraw cash or deposit cash from your own account, and of course the transaction process will be faster.

Customers who want to use the Cardless feature, either to withdraw or deposit cash without an ATM/debit card, can follow these practical steps. First, create a Cash Withdraw/Deposit code via OCTO Mobile. The step is to login to the OCTO Mobile application, then select Cardless/Cardless Transaction.

After that, select Cash Withdraw/Deposit according to the desired amount and confirm with the OCTO Mobile PIN. If this step is complete, a Cash Withdraw/Deposit Code will appear.

Second, after successfully generating a Cash Withdraw/Deposit Code via OCTO Mobile, then go to the ATM/Cash Deposit/Withdrawal Machine and select Cardless Transaction followed by OCTO Mobile.

Enter the Cash Withdraw/Deposit Code. For Cardless Cash Withdrawals, the withdrawal amount must be the same as the nominal made on OCTO Mobile.

As for Cash Deposit, enter the cash you want to deposit in the Cash Deposit Withdrawal Machine and confirm the amount and the account in question. The transaction was successful.

Bambang reminded, the Cash Withdraw/Deposit code is valid for 30 minutes from the time it is made. The maximum amount of Cash Withdrawal per transaction is IDR 1.5 million. Meanwhile, the maximum cash deposit is IDR 5 million per transaction.

In addition to the CIMB Niaga ATM/Cash Deposit Machine, customers can also make Cardless Cash Withdrawal transactions at Indomaret outlets. With wider transaction access, it is hoped that it can support customers' banking activities to be smoother without having to come to a branch office or use an ATM/debit card.

For people who are interested in experiencing the conveniences and benefits of OCTO Mobile but do not have a CIMB Niaga account, they can open an account for the first time through OCTO Mobile. The entire verification process will be carried out on the application, so there is no need to come to the branch office. After successfully opening an account and registering in the OCTO Mobile application, customers can immediately enjoy all the features available on OCTO Mobile, including Cardless.
