JAKARTA - The increase in the price of non-subsidized LPG, which was imposed by the government starting Sunday (27/2) yesterday, has caused the turnover of gas traders to plummet. The 12-kilogram LPG cylinder which previously sold for Rp. 165 thousand has now increased to Rp. 190 thousand, while the 5.5 kilogram tube was previously sold for Rp. 80 thousand, rising to Rp. 90 thousand. Suryadi, owner of an LPG base on Jalan Poncol, Ciracas sub-district, East Jakarta, said that the high price has reduced buyers' turnover, resulting in a drop in turnover of more than 50 percent.
