JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is optimistic that program credit disbursement can reach Rp. 10 trillion. This figure is higher than the original target of Rp. 8.98 trillion.

"I believe, with the assistance of the TPUKP and the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service in 34 provinces, this target can be achieved and even double digits or reach the optimistic target of Rp. 10 trillion," said Director General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products (PDSPKP) KKP Artati Widiarti was quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 15.

He said that through the Investment and Business Service Outlet (GISELA) program, KKP placed Marine and Fisheries Business Assistance Personnel (TPUKP) in a number of priority locations.

These priority locations include the Cultivation Villages in Pati, Gresik, Kupang, West Pasaman, East Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) and East Lombok, as well as the Competitiveness Cluster development locations in Sambas, South Konawe, and Ogan Komering Ilir Regencies. .

Artati explained that the realization of People's Business Credit (KUR) for the marine and fisheries sector in 2021 reached Rp8.05 trillion which was distributed to 231,329 business actors.

Meanwhile, based on the results of monitoring and evaluation, TPUKP played a role in distributing financing to 1,771 business actors with a realization of Rp.43.61 billion, as well as data collection and guidance to 4,889 business actors as well as potential debtors.

He also asked for this achievement to continue to be improved so that the presence of TPUKP will be increasingly felt by the community.

"I am quite proud and optimistic about the efforts to assist and facilitate access to financing that have been carried out by TPUKP," he said.

On the occasion, Artati emphasized that TPUKP have an important role in encouraging investment development and business sustainability.

Moreover, he continued, they can facilitate needs related to investment information, business licensing, partnerships, institutional development, and facilitation of access to finance.

He said, 78 TPUKP spread across 34 provinces are tasked with providing assistance to business actors by running GISELA services on a mobile basis. "I hope that the Provincial Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service through the Pokja GISELA and TPUKP can work together to support the implementation of KKP priority programs," he continued.
