JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif was involved in an argument with member of Commission VII Muhammad Nasir. This argument was triggered by M Nasir's accusation that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was weak in supervising the mining business activities of large coal companies.

M Nasir also mentioned the name 'Queen of Coal' Tan Paulin who produces 1 million tons of coal per month.

"Our coal continues to disappear and until there is called the queen of coal and is not caught. Its production is 1 million per month but we have not received any reports," said M Nasir in a hearing meeting with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif and his colleagues. staff, Thursday, January 13.

Nasir said that because of this player's actions, the infrastructure built by the regional government was damaged, but the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources did not take any action and seemed relaxed even though the money generated from the sale of coal was fantastic, up to IDR 2.5 trillion.

Nasir's words were cut off by Arifin Tasrif who assessed that Nasir's words did not match the facts.

"I think you should speak according to the facts," said Arifin.

Nasir reiterated that he had accurate data regarding the list of names of coal entrepreneurs who did not fulfill their DMO obligations obtained from the former director of Minerba who had been removed by Arifin.

Nasir asked the leadership to create a forum and bring in undisciplined businessmen.

"We ask that you also open the data that is in you and I beg you not to lie to the public. We also don't know the money reaches the ministry," said Arifin.

Nasir further suggested that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) be present to carry out supervision and inspection so that it is clear and transparent so as not to cause mutual accusations between ministries and institutions.

Nasir also asked PLN to form a mining production work unit so that it has a clear stock.
