"This is demonstrated by the completion of the development of Lombok Praya Airport, where the development includes the expansion of the passenger terminal, the expansion of the apron, the extension of the runway (apron), and the development of cargo facilities," Faik said in a press release, as quoted in Monday, January 10.

He said that currently the Lombok Airport passenger terminal has been expanded to 43,501 m2 with a capacity of 7 million passengers per year, from the previous area of only 24,123 m2 with a capacity of 3.25 million passengers per year.

The Lombok Airport apron can now accommodate 16 aircraft with a configuration of 10 narrow-body aircraft and 6 wide-body aircraft, while the runway is ready to support the operation of wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 777.

For information, the 3,300 meter long runway owned by Lombok Airport is the fifth longest runway in Indonesia.
