JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) is said to have prepared Rp30.4 trillion in funds to anticipate customer needs during Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 (Nataru).

BRI Director of Networks and Services Arga Nugraha said this number was 4.8 percent higher than the same period last year.

Customer transactions during the Nataru period this time have the potential to increase from before, considering the pandemic conditions are starting to subside," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, December 22.

According to Arga, his party also continues to open limited operational services during the Nataru holiday.

“Banking services in our work units are aimed at meeting customer needs. BRI provides services on weekends on December 25, 2021 and January 1, 2022, in 20 work units in various regions. Meanwhile, transaction needs on December 26, 2021 and January 2, 2022 are served by the regular weekend banking work unit," he said.

Furthermore, Arga said the company also continues to improve the quality of its IT network to ensure there are no interruptions when there is a spike in transactions.

"We have prepared our IT network as well as possible to avoid technical problems that could occur during the Nataru holiday period. All electronic banking services can be accessed normally by customers at this Nataru moment," he concluded.
