Wow! If Averaged, OJK Employee Salaries Reach IDR 74 Million Per Month

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) reports that the budget ceiling for employee remuneration for 2021 is IDR 3.65 trillion.

Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Wimboh Santoso, said that this amount dominated the realization of the authority's budget until November 2021, which was recorded at Rp4.86 trillion. He is also optimistic that the absorption of the remuneration budget will be absorbed 100 percent at the close of December 31.

“Employees' salaries will definitely be paid off because this is a clear prediction, how much will the salary be until the end of the year. All of this budget must be delivered,” he said during a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR RI at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, December 9.

With a budget that reaches trillions of rupiah, how much is the salary of an OJK employee if it is calculated on average?

Citing the OJK financial report for the 2020 period, it is known that the total number of employees of the financial industry supervisory agency is 3,850 people.

Most recently, OJK Chairman Wimboh Santoso revealed that his party had recruited an additional 212 employees in 2021 who had been placed in all work units in various parts of Indonesia. This brings the current number of personnel to 4,062 people.

That is, if it is averaged from the 2021 remuneration ceiling of Rp3.65 trillion, the income of one OJK employee is Rp.898.57 million per year or equivalent to Rp.74.88 million per month.

Just so you know, this remuneration budget does not include the employee capacity building budget of IDR 97.29 billion for the entire 2021 period.

So, if the same calculation method is used as before, an additional benefit of almost IDR 2 million is obtained for each employee per month.

Meanwhile, the entire OJK budget for the 2021 fiscal year approved by the DPR is IDR 6.21 trillion.
