JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) ensures security and comfort related to health protocols for delegates, who are participating in a series of G20 Presidency events in Indonesia starting in December 2021.

"We, together with the entire airport community, Angkasa Pura work together as a team to provide smooth operation," said Director of International and Inter-Institutional Customs of the DJBC Ministry of Finance Syarif Hidayat as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 8.

Syarif said that this was done because DJBC is part of the national logistics finance track team so that it is responsible for structuring the arrival flow to the health protocols of the delegates.

"There is no direct flight to Bali, so the delegation came to Jakarta for transit and then was taken to Bali using a special plane," he said.

He said that there would be around 150 series of events for the G20 Indonesia Presidency, which will start from December 2021 to October 2022, with the events being held in Bali, Jakarta, and several other cities.

Syarif explained that each delegation representing their country must have a mandate letter and they must have fulfilled the vaccination requirements according to their respective countries.

The delegates must also show the results of the PCR swab test with a validity period of 3x24 hours before departure, then they must fill in their personal data in the PeduliLindung application.

The Ministry of Health has added several languages to the PeduliLindung application to make it easier for delegates to fill in personal data.

The delegates were also provided with a special arrival lane so they would not mix with other air passengers who were then directed to the hospitality lounge or G20 lounge for PCR TM sampling with results coming out in less than two hours.

Syarif continued, when the test results from the delegates were negative, those who took part in the series of G20 Presidency events in Bali would be provided with a special plane.

Delegates who take part in the series of G20 Presidency events in Jakarta will be escorted by special transportation provided by the Indonesian government.

Syarif said that the delegations of the G20 Presidency were granted concessions in the form of special G20 visas and bubble quarantine-based isolation.

He said the bubble quarantine meant that delegates from various countries were allowed to apply quarantine at the event location but were tested for antigen every day.

He added that the government has also provided several hospitals that will be used if there are delegates who are indicated to be positive for COVID-19.

"If there are positive ones, they will be isolated in a referral hospital. So they will immediately be brought to a referral hospital," he said.
