JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN is committed to supporting the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) ecosystem. This commitment is realized by continuing to add Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) in various regions. Currently, PLN North Sumatra Regional Main Unit (UIW) has just inaugurated the first SPKLU which is present in Medan City, North Sumatra.

General Manager of PLN UIW North Sumatra, Pandapotan Manurung said PLN welcomed the government's program to massively use environmentally friendly energy vehicles.

Furthermore, Pandapotan said the presence of an SPKLU located at PLN ULP Medan Kota which was located on Jalan Electric No. 8, Medan City, is proof of PLN's commitment in accelerating the fulfillment of the electric vehicle ecosystem in North Sumatra.

"We will soon operate several SPKLUs in other strategic locations. In this case, PLN opens business opportunities for those who are interested in collaborating with the provision of SPKLU, because PLN has provided the scheme," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, December 8.

To make it easier for investors, Pandapotan said, PLN has also launched a special website for partnership services for providing SPKLU. This website is intended to facilitate third parties who want to build SPKLU.

Not only that, PLN has also developed a Charge.IN platform that is integrated with PLN Mobile superapps to provide convenience for electric vehicle users in monitoring the closest and active SPKLU location, history of electricity purchases during charging, history of electricity usage in vehicles and starting the process. charging.

"The method is easy, people just visit the nearest SPKLU, open the PLN Mobile application, select the Charge.IN feature. In addition, PLN also presents Home Charging Services products which are prepared to provide convenience for consumers in obtaining supporting facilities and services in using KBLBB.
