Regions Are Ready To Tighten Belts, TKDD 2022 Budget Drops To Nearly IDR 26 Trillion

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) is said to have set the overall state expenditure in the 2022 State Budget at IDR 2,714.2 trillion.

Head of the Bureau of Communication and Information Services at the Ministry of Finance, Rahayu Puspasari, said that of this amount, Rp. 769.6 trillion was allocated for Transfers to Regions and Village Funds (TKDD).

"To Regional Heads (Governors, Regents, Mayors) and all supporting officials, the President hopes that they will always strengthen the control of the COVID-19 pandemic and encourage economic recovery in their respective regions," he said in an official statement after President Joko Widodo handed over Budget Implementation List (DIPA) and List of Transfer Allocations to Regions and Village Funds (TKDD) 2022, quoted Wednesday, December 1.

According to Rahayu, the budget execution can be carried out starting January 1, 2022.

"The 2022 TKDD Allocation List that has been submitted is expected to immediately benefit the community, of course, while maintaining accountability, transparency and good governance," he said.

Just so you know, next year's TKDD budget of IDR 769.6 trillion is less than the 2021 ceiling of IDR 795.5 trillion. That means, there is a decrease of around Rp. 25.9 trillion or close to Rp. 26 trillion.

Meanwhile, for spending through ministries and institutions (K/L), the government is known to have disbursed a budget of no less than Rp945.8 trillion to 82 institutions.

As for the income side, the 2022 APBN is projected to be able to generate IDR 1,846.1 trillion. In other words, there was a budget deficit of Rp. 868 trillion, equivalent to 4.85 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
