Indonesian Police Control Rp317 Trillion Of State Property, What Are The Forms?

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) reports that until the close of October 2021, the value of state property (BMN) under institutional control is IDR 317.6 trillion.

Karopaskon Slog Polri Brigadier General Mochamad Nor Didik Andiono said that this number represents that the police are one of the state institutions that have the largest assets in Indonesia.

"The National Police are included in the top five ministries/institutions that manage BMN very much," he said in a webinar organized by the Ministry of Finance, Friday, November 26.

In detail, Didik explained that the assets owned by the Police were categorized into four groups. First, in the form of land, buildings and buildings of Rp. 248.3 trillion.

Second, equipment and machinery amounting to Rp154.4 trillion. Third, inventory items of IDR 8.2 trillion, and the last one is other assets worth IDR 8.2 trillion.

“For land, buildings, and buildings such as command headquarters, service offices, educational facilities, as well as health facilities and dormitories. Meanwhile, equipment and machinery include operational transportation equipment, weaponry, sensing equipment and information technology. Then supplies are personnel equipment, ammunition, consumption, and others," he said.

As a form of accountability, the Police called Didik also conducted a series of certifications for state assets controlled. From the latest data in 2021, it is known that there are 7,229 state-owned goods that already have permanent legal documents. Meanwhile, 3,526 other BMNs are still not certified.

"The obstacles we face in the field include unclear data, such as disputes, not yet clear, controlled by third parties, grants, entry into forest areas, and other problems," he said.
