Sri Mulyani: PMN Disbursement For KAI, PLN, WIKA, Hutama Karya, Etc. Supports The Strengthening Of SOEs And Supports Economic Growth

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance said that the 2021 state capital participation (PMN) policy could increase economic growth and support various strategic state policies.

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said PMN could strengthen the capital structure of SOEs that had to carry out government assignments with a high level of risk even though the economic and social impact was quite large.

"PMN for the 2022 period is also needed for priority infrastructure development so that they can continue to run and do not stop which will later cause much greater economic and financial costs," said the Minister of Finance at the House of Representatives Commission XI Working Meeting as quoted from the official website, Tuesday. , November 9th.

In his explanation, the Minister of Finance revealed that PMN was given to PT Hutama Karya (HK) and PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WIKA). Meanwhile, PMN received by HK is intended for the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road.

"The completion of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road is expected to further increase the mobility and economic activities of the people with Java Island," he said.

Meanwhile, the PMN Wika disbursement is used to strengthen toll road investment capital for the Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung, Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu, Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi, Cimanggis-Cibitung, Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar, Pasuruan-Probolinggo, and Pejagan-Pemalang.

Furthermore, PMN at PT PLN is carried out for substation electricity transmission and rural electricity distribution to achieve 100 percent electrification in Indonesia. Thus, PLN's focus is on the 3T area (frontier, outermost, underdeveloped).

Then, PT SMF obtained PMN to support housing finance for low-income communities with a target of 157,500 units. PT SMF provides 25 percent of the financing needs for the housing project.

Then, LPEI is also given PMN to provide guarantees and insurance for export companies. PT PAL for the construction of submarines so as to realize the independence of defense equipment development and the fulfillment of the minimum marine defense equipment system, PT Pelindo III for the development of Benoa Port, PT BPUI to maintain RBC 120 percent of the new insurance industry.

Finally, PT KAI received a PMN for the continuation of the Jabodetabek LRT and the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train.
