Logistics World Superbike Pertamina Mandalika Circuit Has Arrived At Lombok International Airport, NTB Governor: We Pray For Everything To Go Smooth

JAKARTA - The logistics for the World Superbike (WSBK) event which will take place on November 19-21 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, have arrived at Lombok International Airport (BIL).

"Today, World Superbike logistics arrived around midnight last night and this afternoon (Tuesday)," said Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I at Lombok International Airport, Arif Haryanto in Praya, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 9.

He said the logistics and WSBK crew were brought using a Boeing 777 cargo plane from Doha and arrived at Lombok Airport, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 12.30 WITA.

"Lombok Airport is ready to accept the arrival of logistics as well as spectators and officials for the WSBK activity," he said.

To support the WSBK performance, he said, a number of facilities at Lombok Airport have been developed, one of which is cargo facilities by building a cargo truck parking lot with a capacity of 40 trucks. In addition, the construction of a special access road for cargo with a length of 1.5 kilometers has been completed and is ready for use

"The construction of the passenger terminal expansion, the expansion of the apron and the construction of the 3,300 km long Lombok International Airport runway extension have been completed and can serve wide-body Boeing 8777 aircraft," he said.

The Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Zulkifliemansyah said, Tuesday evening the motorbikes that will be used for the WSBK race at the Mandalika Circuit had arrived at Lombok Airport using a Qatar Air plane that flew directly from Doha to Lombok, as well as the logistics for this WSBK need.

"We pray to God that everything goes smoothly and inspires us all to rise after the COVID-19 pandemic," he said.

Separately, the Central Lombok Police Chief, AKBP Hery Indra Cahyono said that his party had placed members at Lombok Airport to guard and secure the arrival of the WSBK logistics.

"The Central Lombok Police personnel that we involve in securing the arrival of the WSBK logistics at Lombok Airport are one platoon," he said.

To improve security at Lombok Airport ahead of the WSBK implementation, his party has simulated the security system for the arrival of the tourists or WSBK spectators together with the joint apparatus at Lombok Airport.

"We hope that all communities will support and make this WSBK activity a success," he said.
