JAKARTA - The French Dispatch received a nine-minute standing ovation during its premiere at the 74th Cannes Film Festival. This achievement inspires enthusiasm for Wes Anderson's latest film.

Variety reported that Wes Anderson attended Cannes with all the cast. Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Benicio Del Toro, Timothee Chalamet, Owen Wilson, Andrien Brody, and Stephen Park.

Meanwhile, Lea Seydoux was absent due to positive COVID-19. The French Dispatch team caught the eye from the start.

Prior to the standing ovation, the presence of the players plus the composer, Alexandre Desplat, was also highlighted. They came in a gold bus with a local police escort.
