Begin The Year 2021 With This Prayer Reading

JAKARTA - The transition moment of 2020 has passed. Celebrating the new year 2021, it is good for us to start by reading prayers, so that we are always given ease in going through this year.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic that is still plaguing, it should be accompanied by new prayers and hopes. Remembering prayer is an act of worship that is highly loved by Allah SWT because it contains reflection, hope, anxiety, and optimism for a better condition.

The following is the recitation of the turn of the year prayer, according to the teachings of Islam:

1. Year End Prayer

اللهم ما عملت من عمل في هذه السنة ما نهيتني عنه ولم أتب منه وحلمت فيها علي بفضلك بعد قدرتك على عقوبتي ودعوتني إلى التوبة من بعد جراءتي على معصيتك فإني استغفرتك فاغفرلي وما عملت فيها مما ترضى ووعدتني عليه الثواب فأسئلك أن تتقبل مني ولا تقطع رجائ منك يا كَرِيْمُ

"Allâhumma mâ 'amiltu min' amalin fî hâdzihis sanati mâ nahaitanî 'anhu, wa lam aro minhu, wa hamalta fîhâ' alayya bi fadhlika ba'da qudratika 'alâ' uqûbatî, wa da'autanî ilat taubati min ba'di jarâ'atî 'alâ ma'shiyatik. Fa innî astaghfiruka, faghfirlî wa mâ' amiltu fîhâ mimmâ tardhâ, wa wa'attanî 'alaihits tsawâba, fa'as'aluka an tataqabbala minnî wa lâ taqtha' rajâ'î minka yâ karîm. "

Meaning: "My Lord, I ask forgiveness for my actions this year which include You for a while I have not had time to repent, my deeds that You know because of Your mercy. While You are able to torture me, and the deeds (sins) that You command to repent temporarily I hit him which means disobeying you.

Therefore I beg your pardon. Forgive me. My God, I hope You accept my deeds that You are pleased with this year and my deeds that are promised Your reward. Do not destroy my hopes. O Most Gracious God. "

This year-end prayer is organized to be read 3 times on the eve of the new year.

2. Early Prayer of the Year

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيموصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم اللهم ما عملت فى هذه السنة مما نهيتنى عنه فلم اتب منه ولم تنسه وحلمت على بعد قدرتك على عقوبتى ودعوتنى الى التوبة بعد جرا ئتى على معصيتك فإنى استغفرك فغفرلى وما عملت فيها مما ترضاه ووعدتنى عليه الثواب فاسألك اللهم ياكريم ياذ الجلال والاكرام ان تتقبله منى ولا تقطع رجائى منك ياكريم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم

"Bismillaahir-rahmaanir-rahiim. Wa shallallaahu 'alaa sayyidinaa Muhammadin wa' alaa 'aalihi wa shahbihii wa sallam. Allaahumma antal-abadiyyul-qadiimul-awwalu, wa' alaa fadhlikal-'azhimi wujuudikal-mu'awwali, wa haadza ' qad aqbala diperlukan nas'alukal 'ishmata fiihi minasy-syaithaani wa auliyaa'ihi wa junuudihi wal'auna' alaa haadzihin-nafsil-ammaarati bis-suu'i wal-isytighaala bimaa yuqarribuni ilaika zulfa yaa dzal-jalaali wal-ikram yaa arhamar raahimin, wa sallallaahu 'alaa sayyidina Muhammadin nabiyyil ummiyyi wa' alaa aalihi wa shahbihii wa sallam. "

Meaning: "By mentioning the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate. May Allah continue to bestow mercy and peace on our esteemed and chief Muhammad and his family and friends.

O Allah What I did this year about something that You forbade me to do, then did not repent, even though You did not meridloi (forgive it), did not forget it and You were gentle to me after You had the power to torture me and You called me to repent after I did iniquity to you.

So I beg your pardon, forgive me! And whatever I have done from something that You ridloi and You promised a reward to me, then I beg You O Allah, the Most Gracious Being, the Most High and Noble Being, accept my offering and do not lose hope in You, O Most Gracious Being! May Allah continue to bestow blessings and peace on our beloved Muhammad and his family and friends. "
