Waiting For Rizieq Shihab At Polda Metro Jaya

JAKARTA - High Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab is scheduled to undergo questioning at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, December 7. This examination was related to a case of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) at the wedding of his daughter, Najwa Shihab.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said that in this examination schedule, investigators also summoned Rizieq's son-in-law, Hanif Alatas. This examination is the second time they have not attended the previous opportunity.

"We schedule the summons for the MRS and MHA for Monday, December 7," said Yusri on Thursday, December 3.

In this examination, investigators will study the wedding ceremony. This is because the event was held at Rizieq's residence in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta.

For that, we have high hopes that the two FPI frontmen will be present to fulfill the summons. So, the investigation of this case can be completed immediately and find a bright spot.

"We are waiting, maybe not. Hopefully he will come," said Yusri.

Apart from the investigation schedule, the police also highlighted the mass of supporters of Rizieq Shihab who claimed to be guarding the investigation by participating in the Polda Metro Jaya.

Yusri said that his party would disperse the masses who chose to continue to come when Rizeq was questioned. Even if they refuse to be disbanded, the police will take firm action.

Dissolution and decisive action that will be carried out on the grounds that the spread of COVID-19, especially in Jakarta, is still high. So, if the mass is left alone it will only increase the potential for infection.

"We have said that from the first summons it is the same. It is enough to be accompanied by a lawyer. Anyone who comes here with a crowd will be firmly taken," said Yusri.

In addition, the actions to be taken also refer to the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulations. Thus, all steps are based on clear rules.

"PSBB rules are clear that they should not crowd crowds. We urge all of them not to deliver and just have a lawyer," he explained.

FPI's answer

Responding to the police's firm steps regarding the masses of Rizieq supporters who would participate in guarding the investigation, FPI lawyer team member Aziz Yanuar said that there had actually been an appeal regarding this matter.

Aziz said that the appeal was conveyed directly by Rizieq Shihab to his supporters. They were asked to not come when Rizieq was examined.

"Don't create a crowd and there is no need to flock to the next inspection," said Aziz.

In fact, through it, said Aziz, Rizieq Shihab emphasized to his supporters never to get involved in the crowd. Sebaba that will only have a bad impact on other communities.

"Yes, because it was explained earlier. Not only did you not come habib, asked to avoid it and don't get to the current crowd," he said.

In addition, Rizieq also asked his supporters to always apply health protocols. The goal is for Indonesia, especially Jakarta, to quickly escape the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Second, pay attention and maintain health protocols wherever you are. If you love Habib Rizieq, you do that," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the examination schedule, Aziz said that until now he could not confirm it. Because, he is still coordinating with Rizieq regarding this matter.

"We are still coordinating with us but the problem comes or not, at what time there is still no decision. We are still weighing it," said Aziz Yanuar.

The consideration in question is about Rizieq's health. This is because he had recently been discharged from the hospital and still needed time to rest.

"We have to pay attention that when he is examined later, he will also have a long time. Likewise his condition," he said.

But Aziz said Rizieq's health condition is now healthy. Only when it was confirmed the question of whether Rizieq would attend or not did he say he would confirm it some time before the time of the examination. The reason is that no one can confirm this.

"Alhamdulillah, always be healthy, just taking a break. Everything will be conveyed later (present or not)," he said.
