MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution ensured that the implementation of face-to-face learning (PTM) in this area since three weeks ago has followed the rules and implemented strict health protocols (prokes).

"PTM in Medan City has been running with strict rules and procedures. We will continue to monitor its implementation," said Bobby Nasution after reviewing the implementation of PTM at the Sultan Iskandar Muda College Foundation in Medan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 26.

Bobby Nasution accompanied the visit of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, to ensure that PTM implemented strict procedures.

One of the implementations of the program is that the number of students per class is limited to 10 people with study time in the classroom only allowed two hours per day.

"According to the direction of the Minister of Education and Technology for SMP, we can increase the number of students per class from the beginning when the PTM was opened, only 10 students," he said.

Bobby Nasution also said that junior high school students who can take part in PTM are those who have received an injection of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Students who have not been vaccinated or do not get parental permission to participate in PTM, he said, can still participate in "hybrid" learning or a combination of face-to-face and virtual in all junior high schools in Medan City.

"To closely monitor the progress of the school, I have asked all schools to have and activate the School COVID-19 Task Force Team," said Bobby.

Although currently the City of Medan is implementing Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level 2, he said, all circles of society must still be aware of the transmission of COVID-19 because the pandemic is still happening.

"Because we remain vigilant about the spread of COVID-19, even though currently Medan City has PPKM level 2 status," said Bobby Nasution.
