Alex Noerdin's Son, Dodi Reza Takes Away By KPK In OTT In Muba, Allegedly Involved In Infrastructure Project

Jakarta, - Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nurul Ghufron confirmed that his party had secured a number of parties in a hand arrest operation in Musi Banyuasin (Muba), South Sumatra (Sumsel).

One of those arrested by the KPK team was the Regent of Musi Banyuasin (Muba), Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin who is also the son of the former Governor of South Sumatra, Alex Noerdin. The arrested parties are suspected of being involved in illegal transactions related to infrastructure projects.

"We have secured several people related to the procurement of infrastructure projects," said Nurul Ghufron when confirmed, Saturday, October 16.

Ghufron has not been able to convey further details about the parties being detained and the evidence confiscated. The task force team is currently still working in the field to investigate this case.

"Everything is still being investigated. Alan's involvement does not rule out the possibility that it will develop. Please be patient first. We are still working," said Ghufron.

The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the arrested parties. In time, the KPK will provide more details regarding this OTT.

"Soon we will explain in more detail after the investigation," said Ghufron.

Besides Dodi, the KPK also secured a number of parties from the Musi Banyuasin Regency Government. The parties were arrested for allegedly involved in bribery transactions. In fact, the Task Force team is reported to have moved quickly to install KPK lines in a number of rooms at the Musi Banyuasin PUPR Office. It is not yet known for certain the crime that Dodi allegedly committed until he was arrested and the evidence confiscated by the KPK Task Force team.

Dodi Reza Alex Noerdin is the eldest son of Alex Noerdin. Alex, who is also the former Regent of Musi Banyuasin for two terms, is currently being held by the Attorney General's Office at the Salemba Rutan for two corruption cases.

The two corruption cases that ensnared Alex, namely the alleged corruption of grant funds from the 2015 and 2017 South Sumatra Provincial APBD funds to the Sriwijaya Palembang Mosque Waqf Foundation related to the construction of the Palembang Sriwijaya Mosque and the alleged corruption case of alleged corruption in the purchase of natural gas by BUMD Regional Mining and Energy Companies.
