JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-Department (Gulkarmat) has established a fire station in the courtyard area of the Salemba Class 1A Rutan, Central Jakarta, Jalan Percetakan Negara, Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta.

Construction of a post to anticipate fires in the Correctional area, especially in the Salemba Rutan. The creation of this post is a form of collaboration with the Salemba Class 1A Rutan, Central Jakarta.

"We make it easy for the Salemba detention center in Central Jakarta to have a fire station. We have already communicated with the Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.," said Yohanis Varianto, the Class 1A Salemba Karutan, Central Jakarta, when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, September 22.

Furthermore, Varit, as he is familiarly called, said that the fire brigade post was active on Wednesday, September 22, this afternoon.

Later, with the placement of fire engines, it will be easier to extinguish fires in the Salemba detention center and surrounding residents.

"The placement of a fire brigade in the Salemba Class 1 Rutan, Central Jakarta, is to prevent the fire," he said.

Yohanis said that his party had planned the placement of a fire brigade post for a long time.

"We had a plan from the beginning and it was only realized because of the pandemic. We made efforts to overcome and prevent it. In the future we will also provide understanding (of fire management) to other inmates," he said.
