Coordinating Minister Luhut Has Another New Position, Jokowi Appointed As Head Of The Proud National Movement Made In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Panjaitan has increased again. As of September 8, Luhut became the Head of the Indonesian-made Proud National Movement Team.

This decision is contained in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 15 of 2021 concerning the Proud National Movement Team Made in Indonesia. This regulation was signed by President Joko Widodo on September 8, 2021, as quoted from a copy released on the official website of the State Secretariat, Monday, September 20.

With the Proud National Movement Made in Indonesia, Jokowi wants to encourage the strengthening of national economic growth through strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises including Small and Medium Industries. Jokowi assessed that the implementation of the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement needed support in the form of data collection, training, access to capital, market expansion, campaign implementation, budgeting, and economic stimulus.

"The Gernas BBI team is under and responsible to the President," this regulation states.

The composition of the BBI Gernas Team:

Chairman: Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment.

Deputy Chairperson: 1. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs. 2. Governor of Bank Indonesia. 3. Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. 4. Financial Services Authority.

Daily Chair: Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/ Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency.

Deputy Daily Chair: Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises

Members:1. Minister of Industry; 2. Minister of Home Affairs; 3 Minister of Law and Human Rights; 4. Minister of Finance; 5. Minister of Social Affairs; 6. Minister of Manpower; 7. Minister of Trade; 8. Minister of Public Works and Public Housing; 9. Minister of Communication and Information Technology; 10. Minister of Environment and Forestry;1 1. Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries;12. Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology; 13. Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration;14. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency; 15. Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency;16. "The Head of the BBI Gernas Team reports the implementation of his duties to the President at least 1 (one) time in 6 (six) months or at any time if necessary,"

All costs needed to carry out the tasks of the BBI Gernas Team are borne by the APBN and APBD.
