Don't Want To Hurry, Tourist Attractions In Boyolali Are Still Closed Until PPKM Status Drops To Level 2

BOYOLALI - The Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) of Boyolali Regency, Central Java is still closing a number of tourist attractions to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Currently Boyolali is still implementing Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) with a number of easing.

Head of Disporapar Boyolali Supana said this policy was in accordance with the regent's instructions not to rush to open tourist attractions. The government is still waiting for further developments regarding COVID.

"If Boyolali has really dropped to level 2, Disporapar will immediately open a tourism object," Supana said in Boyolali, Antara, Wednesday, September 7.

While waiting for the decline in PPPKM levels, the Boyolali Disporapar together with tourism object management partners also simulated the implementation of health protocols for tourists.

For example, in Indrokilo Boyolali Botanical Gardens, Kedung Cinta Wana, Kedung Ombo Kemusu Tourism, Cengklik Ngemplak Reservoir and Selo Boyolali Tourism Village. Other tourist objects are making preparations, including the Umbul Pengging Banyudono bathing attraction.

Therefore, they are still waiting for the latest developments in the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the Circular (SE) of the Boyolali Regent, for the time being, tourism objects and sports activities are still limited.

"We hope that the government will immediately announce changes for COVID-19 to enter level 2, so that tourist attractions in Boyolali can immediately reopen," he said.

The hope, he said, is that if you have entered level 2 and the Boyolali tourist destination is opened, tourism managers can gradually start their activities.

He said the attractions managed by Disporapar Boyolali include water tourism and fishing in Tlatar, Selo, including Joglos and Bungalows. Meanwhile, the Cengklik and Umbul Pengging reservoirs are handled by a third party.

Meanwhile, the Kedung Cinta Wana Wisata object in Kedung Ombo is in collaboration with the Boyolali Disporapar, Perhutani, and the local Village-Owned Enterprises (Bumkdes).

"The R Hamong Wardoyo Boyolali Museum is managed by the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), because the museum is in the realm of education and culture. Meanwhile, the Indrokilo Botanical Garden in Mojosongo Boyolali is still under the local Environmental Service (DLH)," he said.

Meanwhile, Ferry (40), one of the officers of the Tirtomarto Pengging Baths Tourism Object, said that the Tirtomarto Pengging Boyolali bathing attraction has still been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic until now. There have been more than three months the bathing tourist attraction was closed due to COVID-19.

"Officers always clean the object area three times a week. However, I don't know when it will be opened," said Ferry.

Ferry hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and tourist attractions will be reopened so that the community's economy will start to stretch in the Boyolali area.
